What is happening?
CITY OF BRISTOL (FIRST AVENUE, ST. ANNES, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of First Avenue from Birchwood Road to St. Anne’s Park Road.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 24th June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 24th June 2024 and 9th August 2024).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Birchwood Road, Guildford Road, St. Anne’s Park Road and vice versa.
(VARIOUS ROADS, REDLAND, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles and pedestrians the lengths of roads as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.
Exemption will be provided in the Order for pedestrians requiring necessary access to premises situated on, adjacent to or accessible only from those closed lengths of roads as specified in the Schedule to the Notice.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and becomes operative from 1st July 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 1st July 2024 and 23rd August 2024).

(BRISTOL AND BATH RAILWAY PATH (GREENWAY), LAWRENCE HILL, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY FOOT PASSENGERS AND PEDAL CYCLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to pedestrians and pedal cycles that length of Bristol and Bath Railway Path (Greenway) from the foot and cyclepath to the rear of Kingsmarsh Way to the foot and cyclepath to the rear of Whitehall Road.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the path and becomes operative from 24th June 2024 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily from 24th June 2024 to 28th June 2024).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Foot and cyclepath to the rear of Kingsmarsh Way, Lawrence Hill, Croydon Street, Easton Road, Brixton Road and vice versa.
(CAPEL ROAD, LAWRENCE WESTON, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES AND FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles and pedestrians that length of Capel Road which extends from the common boundary line of No.18 and No.20 Capel Road to the common boundary line of No.34 and No.36 Capel Road.
Exemption will be provided in the Order for vehicles and pedestrians requiring necessary access to premises situated on, adjacent to or accessible only from that closed length of road as specified above.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 5th July 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Capel Road (part unaffected), Oakhanger Drive, Broadlands Drive, Oakhanger Drive, Capel Road (part unaffected) and vice versa.
(DENMARK STREET AND GAUNT’S LANE, CITY CENTRE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.
The Order was required in order to alleviate traffic manoeuvrability issues and to enable access and egress for vehicles due to loading and unloading works on or near the roads and becomes operative from 2nd July 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the loading and unloading works (which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration on each occasion).
