A34 TRUNK ROAD
(HINKSEY HILL TO PEARTREE)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A34 Trunk Road in the County of Oxfordshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road.
The effect of the Order is to authorise the full weekend closure of:
1. the road leading from the southbound carriageway of the A34 at Lodge Hill Interchange (A4183); and
2. the road leading to the northbound carriageway of the A34 at Lodge Hill Interchange (A4183).
These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake bridge deck works and all associated works.
It is expected that the work will last for approximately 1 month starting on or after Friday 5th July 2024. The Order will come into force on 3rd July 2024 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when works are complete.
The weekend closures will take place between 21:00 on Fridays and 06:00 on Mondays. Please see National Highways website for further details.
Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted via other junctions of the A34 and either the A4183 and the A415 or Hinksey Hill and Oxford Road.
The temporary closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
