What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

COUNTRY PARKS BYELAWS 2024

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby gives notice that it intends to make new byelaws under Section 41 of the Countryside Act 1968 and in accordance with Section 236 of the Local Government Act 1972, the effect of which will be:

To impose restrictions on the means of access to, use of, activities on and interference with the flora, fauna and structures (both natural and man-made) at various Country Parks specified within the byelaws, across the County of Leicestershire.

A copy of the byelaws may be inspected free of charge during normal office hours at my offices, Room 200A, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester, LE3 8RA or by emailing Jane Moore at Jane.x.moore@leics.gov.uk.

The document will be available for inspection for 28 days from the date of this notice.

The byelaws can also be viewed online at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/leisure-and-community/parks-andoutdoor- activities/country-parks-in-leicestershire.

Written representations about the byelaws, including objections, should be emailed to accessheoteam@defra.gov.uk by 12th July 2024.
