(Grandstand Road - Cancer Research Race For Life) Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2024

1. Notice Is Hereby Given that the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to prohibit all vehicles from proceeding on that length of Grandstand Road between Blue House Roundabout and Kenton Road.

2. The Order is required to facilitate the holding of the “Cancer Research Race for Life Event 2024” (“the Event”), to enable members of the public to watch the Event and to reduce the disruption to traffic likely to be caused by the Event.

3. The alternative route for vehicles will be via the local road network.

4. Exemptions will be provided for vehicles associated with the Event.

5. The Order will be in effect between 7.00am and 2.00pm on Sunday 14 July 2024 as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
