(Sutton Bonington Footpath No.8) (Temporary Prohibition) Continuation No.2 Order 2024
Notice Is Hereby Given that the Secretary of State Transport in pursuance of the powers conferred by Sections 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 approves of The Nottinghamshire County Council (Sutton Bonington Footpath No.8) (Temporary Prohibition) Notice 2023 (which came into force on 22nd December 2023 and was continued in force by a Continuation Order which remains in force until 21st June 2024 inclusive) being extended and continuing in force until 21st December 2024 or until completion of the relevant works, whichever is the sooner.
The Order has the following effect:-
No person shall:- (a) proceed on foot, in the following length of Footpath at Sutton Bonington in the Borough of Rushcliffe:-
Sutton Bonington Footpath No.8 at the northern most end by Marle Pit Bridge, to where it moves away from following the line of the railway towards Bollards Lane.
And Notice Is Hereby Further Given that during the period of restriction there is a short alternative route on roads.
If the works are not completed within the above period the Order may be extended for a longer period with the further approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
The prohibition is required to enable works to be carried out to a property damaged by a fallen tree, and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath.
