NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A DIVERSION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 119 (WARESIDE 4) DIVERSION ORDER 2024
On 9th May 2024 Hertfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public bridleway running from TL 3869 1546 in a south-easterly direction for approximately 35 metres to TL 3872 1545 to a line running from TL 3869 1546 and heading in a generally southerly direction for approximately 33 metres to join Wareside Restricted Byway 24 at TL 3869 1543, as shown on the Order Plan.

The Order comes into force as from 20th June 2024, but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 20th June 2024, make an application to the High Court.
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROSEDALE WAY, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Rosedale Way, Cheshunt from a point 85m north east of its junction with Jacksons Drive north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 25m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Rosedale Way, Peakes Way, Peakes Lane, Dig Dag Hill, Longfield Lane and Rosedale Way.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN CLOTHALL, COTTERED AND THROCKING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of A507 Baldock Road, Clothall/Cottered from its junction with Bull Lane north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with the A10 Buntingford Bypass/B1038 Baldock Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 3650m.
An alternative route will be via A507 (Baldock Road/unnamed road/Clothall Road), B656 Royston Road, A505 (Baldock Bypass/Royston Road/Baldock Road/Royston Bypass) and A10 (Melbourn Road/Priory Lane/Barkway Street/London Road/Ermine Street/unnamed road/Buntingford Bypass) or via A10 (Buntingford Bypass/unnamed road/Ermine Street/London Road/Market Hill/ Priory Lane/Melbourn Road), A505 (Royston Bypass/Baldock Road/Royston Road/ Baldock Bypass), B656 (Royston Bypass Interchange/Wallington Road)/Royston Road) and A507 (Clothall Road/unnamed road/Baldock Road).
2. that length of Throcking Road, Cottered/Cottered Road, Throcking from its junction with A507 Baldock Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 1683m. An alternative route will be via A507 Baldock Road, A10 Buntingford Bypass and Cottered Road.
3. that length of The Crescent/Peascroft, Cottered from its junction with A507 Baldock Road south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out.
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Granby Park Road, Cheshunt from its junction with Rosedale Way north westwards, south westwards, southwards and south westwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. that length of B180 Hunsdon Road, Widford from its junction with Abbotts Lane north westwards, north eastwards and northwards to its junction with B1004 Ware Road, a distance of approximately 504m.
An alternative route will be via B180 (Widford Road/High Street/Stansted Road/Hunsdon Road), B181 (Roydon Road/High Street/Station Road), A1170 (Pepper Hill/Amwell Hill/London Road/Viaduct Road/Bridgefoot) and B1004 (Star Street/Widbury Hill/Ware Road).
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LOWER ROAD, GREAT AMWELL) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Lower Road, Great Amwell from a point 190m north west of its junction with Amwell Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Lower Road, Amwell Lane, B181 Station Road, A1170 (Pepper Hill/Amwell Hill) and Lower Road.
The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using Cheshunt Public Footpath No.067 from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.110 Andrews Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 31m (“the Public Footpath”).
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this public footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpath.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 July 2024 for a period of up to 6 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpath.

An alternative route will be via Farquhar Street, Duncombe Road, Cross Road, B158 (Bengeo Street/Port Hill/Cowbridge/Old Cross), St Andrew Street, North Road, A119 North Road, Beane Road, Molewood Road, Nelson Street and Wellington Street. 1. that length of Amwell Lane, Stanstead Abbotts/St Margarets from its junction with B181 Station Road north westwards to its junction with Lower Road, a distance of approximately 1280m.
An alternative route will be via B181 Station Road, A1170 (Pepper Hill/Amwell Hill) and Lower Road.
2. that length of Railway Street, Hertford from its junction with South Street south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Market Street, a distance of approximately 154m. An alternative route will be via South Street, Fore Street and Market Street.
3. that length of Walkern Road, Benington from its junction with Benington Road south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Church Green, a distance of approximately 2173m. An alternative route will be via Walkern Road and Church Green.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. that length of Anchor Lane, Wadesmill from its junction with Cambridge Road south westwards to its junction with the A602 Tonwell Bypass/A602 Westmill Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 2461m.
An alternative route will be via Cambridge Road, A1170 Wadesmill Road, A10 (unnamed road) and A602 Westmill Road or via A602 Westmill Road, A10 (unnamed road/Wadesmill Bypass) and Cambridge Road.

ROAD HUMPS NOTICE (STURLAS WAY, WALTHAM CROSS) 2024
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes, under sections 90A – 90F of the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999, to extend an existing raised speed table in that length of Sturlas Way, Waltham Cross as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

SCHEDULE: Raised speed table – that section of road listed below and as set out in the scheme plan – Part of Sturlas Way, from a point 43 metres south west of a point in line with the south west kerbline of Winston Churchill Way Roundabout southwards for approximately 40 metres to a point 3 metres south of a point in line with the projected south kerbline of the entry/exit road to Aldi & Homebase Stores and westwards into the entry/exit road for 3 metres.
The above raised speed table will be constructed at a height of approximately 75mm above the existing carriageway with on/off gradients of approximately 1:20.
