“Dumfries and Galloway Council - Notice of application in terms of section 75 (2) Of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 for authority to alienate land adjacent to and in the vicinity of the former Carlingwark Outdoor Activity Centre, subjects forming part of Lochside Park, Castle Douglas in order to grant a 25-year lease to the Castle Douglas Development Forum. The said subjects forming part of the Common Good within the Royal Burgh of Castle Douglas.
Anyone having an interest in the summary application may obtain a copy from the Sheriff Clerk’s Office, Buccleuch Street, Dumfries DG1 2AN within 21 days of the date of this Notice. Any person wishing to object to the application or make representations thereon must lodge Answers with the sheriff clerk within that period.

C12S Castle Douglas - Brooklands) (Temporary Traffic Regulation Order) Order 2024
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C12s Dunmuir Road from its junction with A75(T) to the junction of Garden Hill Drive, Castle Douglas from 0900 to 1800 on 02/07/24. The closure is necessary to facilitate Scottish Water ironwork repairs. Alternative route available via Dunmuir Road, A745, A75(T) and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
(U614S Riverbank) (Temporary Traffic Regulation Order) No.2 Order 2024
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U614s Riverbank between Dromore Road and Fleetside, Gatehouse of Fleet from 0700 on 02/07/24 to 2359 on 26/08/24. Works will be carried out under a rolling closure and reopen as works progress. The closure is necessary to facilitate SPEN cabling works. Alternative route available via Dromore Road, Riverbank, Fleetside and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
