What is happening?

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 KIRKLEES COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH MIRFIELD 14 (PART) AT PRIMROSE FARM, CROSSLEY LANE, MIRFIELD) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024

The above order made on the 11 June 2024 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert that part of public footpath Mirfield 14 having a width of 0.9 metres and shown on the order map by a bold continuous line commencing at point A at grid reference SE 2103 2123 and proceeding in a north easterly direction for approximately 130 metres to point B at grid reference SE 2113 2131 to a new line for public footpath Mirfield 14 with a width of 2 metres shown on the order map by a bold broken line commencing at point A at grid reference SE 2103 2123 and proceeding in a north north-westerly then north easterly direction for 176 metres to point C at grid reference SE 2111 2134.

Copies of the order and order map may also be inspected free of charge at Mirfield Library, Eastthorpe Lodge, Huddersfield Road, Mirfield WF14 8AN (during normal opening hours). Copies may also be made at standard photocopying rates.

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to Harry Garland, Kirklees Council Legal Services, PO Box 1720, Huddersfield HD1 9EL no later than 18 July 2024.  You should quote reference HG/D112-346 and state the grounds on which your objection/representation is made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn Kirklees Council may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order.  If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with this order.
