(Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State has granted approval to extend the operation of the above Order made under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which is currently in effect to temporarily close Public footpath 2667 in Amberley from its junction with Church Street eastwards to the River Arun.

The continued closure of this route is needed to maintain public safety while a collapsed wall adjoining the route is repaired. The Order will now remain in operation until 14 January 2025 or until repair works are completed, whichever is earlier.

Unfortunately, no alternative route is available on the public rights of way network during the operative period of this closure. Any queries about the effect of the Order should be directed to the WSCC Public Rights of Way Team, telephone number 01243 777620.  Ref: TTRO-2269- MM.
