What is happening?

LEEDS CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

(York Road Roundabout Road Closure, Leeds)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Road closure to facilitate carriageway resurfacing on York Road Roundabout Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along York Road Roundabout Road Closure, Leeds in the Burmantofts & Richmond Hill Ward between Lupton Avenue, York Road and Torre Road.

A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Lupton Avenue, Harehills Lane, York Road, Osmondthorpe Lane, Harehills Lane, Stoney Rock Lane, Nippet Lane, Marsh Lane and York Road.

Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained.

The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 1st July 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 12th July 2024. The closure will be in place between 19:00 and midnight on each day.
