Bug Hill (D1358) Woldingham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 19 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bug Hill (D1358) Woldingham which extends from its junction with Woldingham Road (C72) to northward for a distance of 250m.
Alternative Route – Bug Hill (D1358), Leas Road (D1348), Redvers Road (D1348), Westhall Road (B270), Narrow Lane (D1357), Succombs Hill (D1390), Woldingham Road (C72) and Bug Hill (D1358) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow UKPN to carry out utility works, which is anticipated to be completed within 9 days, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 June 2024.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road in specified above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road or for preventing such danger from arising and/or preventing damage to the road.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. All vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Tandridge Lane (C83) Tandridge and Tandridge Lane (C83) Lingfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 19 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to
(1) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tandridge Lane (C83) Tandridge and Tandridge Lane (C83) Lingfield as extends from (a) its junction with the access to the properties known as “Old Hall Farm”, “Meadow Lodge”, “New Barns”, “Meadows Edge”, “Old Hall Farm Cottage” and “Chathill Cottage” to its junction with the southern access to the property known as “Chathill Park Farm”; and (b) its junction with (D419) Crowhurst Lane End to its junction with Public Footpath No.245a Tandridge.
(2) suspend “The Surrey County Council Tandridge Lane (C83) Lingfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects those lengths of road specified in parts (1)(a) and (1)(b) to this Notice.
Alternative Route – Tandridge Lane; The Common; A22 Eastbourne Road; Miles Lane; and Tandridge Lane or this same route in reverse.
This 12 Month Order which commences on 01 July 2024 is required to allow new mains water connection and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SES Water within the lengths of road described in this notice.
The works in part (1)(a) to this notice are anticipated to commence on 01 July 2024 and will be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8.30am and 5.30pm. The works in part (1)(b) to this notice are anticipated to commence on 22 July 2024 and will be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30om.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All vehicular traffic including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Sutton Lane (D281) Abinger Dorking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
On 19 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of: (a) Sutton Lane (D281) Abinger Dorking; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Sutton Lane (D281) Abinger Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety.
Alternative Route: Abinger Lane, Pasture Wood Road, and (B2126) Horsham Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of Freeflow Traffic Management. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Highfield Road (D1405) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 19 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Highfield Road (D1405) Caterham.
Alternative Route: (B2208) Croydon Road and (D1405) Tillingdown Hill, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate telecom utility works for, or on behalf of TSE Group. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Burntwood Lane (D1402) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
On 19 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Burntwood Lane (D1402) Caterham as extends from its junction with (C227) Whyteleafe Road to its junction with (X68533) Brambles Close; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2023” insofar as it affects the length of road specified in Part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: Burntwood Lane, Buxton Lane, Matlock Road, and Whyteleafe Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate highways improvements and/or maintenance works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council and Yunex.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday only, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will
be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service
vehicles in an emergency situation only. All other vehicular traffic will
be required to follow the signed diversion route.
Frenches Road (C224) and Linkfield Lane (C224) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 19 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway reconstruction works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 June 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

1. that length of Linkfield Lane (C224) Redhill which extends from its junction with London Road to its junction with Hurstleigh Drive and any parts thereof. Alternative Route – C224 Linkfield Lane, A25 Station Road, A25 Queensway and A25 London Road; 2. that length of Frenches Road (C224) Redhill which extends from its junction with London Road to its roundabout junction with Ladbroke Road.
Alternative Route – D1261 Ladbroke Road, A23 Princess Way, A23 Marketfield Way Roundabout, A23 Princess Way and A23 London Road.
Horsham Road (A24) Beare Green
Temporary Traffic Management Order 2024
On 19 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1), 14(7) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:-
(a) impose a 30 mph speed limit on both the northbound and southbound carriageway of Horsham Road (A24) Beare Green, that length of which extends from the junction of Mill Road to its junction with the Beare Green Roundabout and any parts thereof;
(b) suspend the Order imposing a 50mph speed limit on the length of A24 Horsham Road as specified in sub-paragraph (a) above insofar as it relates to such length of A24 Horsham Road only;
(c) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the southbound carriageway of Horsham Road (A24) Beare Green, that length of which extends from its junction with Mill Road to its junction with the Beare Green Roundabout;
(d) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the northbound carriageway of Horsham Road (A24) Beare Green, that length of which extends from its junction with the Beare Green Roundabout to its junction with Mill Road (N.B. it is anticipated that northbound carriageway will only be closed at times to allow for the installation and removal of the contra-flow traffic management, which will be confirmed on-site by advanced warning);
(e) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the right-hand lane of the northbound carriageway of Horsham Road (A24) Beare Green from its junction with the Beare Green Roundabout to its junction with Mill Road, in any direction other than southwards;
(f) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the left-hand lane of the northbound carriageway of Horsham Road (A24) Beare Green from its junction with Mill Road to its junction with the Beare Green Roundabout, in any direction other than northwards.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate embankment works and/or repair works near Bregsells Bridge.
The Order will commence on 21 June 2024 and will terminate on 16 December 2025, and which continues in force the provisions of a Notice issued under Section 14(2) and 14(7) of the Act, namely “The Surrey County Council Horsham Road (A24) Beare Green Temporary Traffic Management Notice 2024”.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, contra-flow, speed limit and suspension of the speed limit will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
The prohibitions referred to above will not apply: (i) in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; (ii) in respect of anything done in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Police.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
For sub-paragraph (a): The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011.

Redehall Road (C67) and Wheelers Lane (D361) Smallfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 19 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing and/ or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 26 June 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

D397 Ivy Mill Lane, Bletchingley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D397 Ivy Mill Lane, Bletchingley.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains replacement and/or maintenance works in D397 Ivy Mill Lane, Bletchingley between A25 Bletchingley Road and D397 Ivy Mill Close.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 6pm, within 4 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
Access for cyclists, equestrians, and to affected residences and businesses, including access emergency services to such properties, will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- Ivy Mill Lane, Waterhouse Lane, Godstone Road and Bletchingley Road.
By-Pass Road (D2507) Leatherhead (Lay-By)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of By-Pass Road (D2507) Leatherhead (Lay-By).
This Order is required, due to the likelihood of danger to the public during the movement/or parking of abnormal load for, or on behalf of Beaumont Traffic Management Ltd.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 12pm on 19 July 2024 and 12pm on Sunday 21 July 2024, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 July 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure.
There is no alternative route for this closure, and no sole access will be affected by this closure.
Russ Hill (D323) Charlwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Russ Hill (D323) Charlwood as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Russ Hill Farm” to its junction with the access to the property known as “Fourwinds” and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Russ Hill (D323) Charlwood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023” in its entirety.
Alternative Route: Russ Hill, Rectory Lane, Norwood Hill Road, Stan Hill, Blanks Lane, Partridge Lane, Charlwood Lane, and Russ Hill, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Punchbowl Lane (D2857) Dorking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Punchbowl Lane (D2857) Dorking which extends from the southwestern property boundary line of “Lakrigar” to the southwestern property access road to “Parkwood”.
Alternative Route – Punchbowl Lane (D2857), Reigate Road (A25), Deepdene Avenue (A24), Chart Lane South (D301) and Punchbowl Lane (D2857) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Starrock Lane (D1084) Chipstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Starrock Lane (D1084) Chipstead which extends from its junction with High Road (C136) to the northeastern property boundary line of “The Luff, Vincent Green”.
Alternative Route – Starrock Lane (D1084), Coulsdon Lane (C136) and High Road (C136) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 11 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Crutchfield Lane (D333) Hookwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Crutchfield Lane (D333) Hookwood which extends from the southeastern property boundary line of “Fairhaven” to the southwestern property boundary line of “Manor Barn”.
Alternative Route – Crutchfield Lane (D333), Reigate Road (A217) and Horse Hill (D332) or the same route in reverse. This Order is required to allow Versatile Utilities Ltd to carry out water works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 9:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Langshott (D336) Horley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Langshott (D336) Horley as extends from its junction with (D1312) Brookfield Drive to its junction with the access to the property known as “Langshott Manor”.
This Order is required to facilitate installation of new water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 July 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates if required, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
Court Road (D1426) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Court Road (D1426) Caterham as extends from its junction with the Townpath (T10023) Westway Common to its junction with (D1426) Birch Avenue; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Court Road (D1426) and Park Road (D1426) Caterham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: Court Road, (B2030) High Street, Park Road, (B2031) Chaldon Road, and Court Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate sewer repair works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am and 1pm on Saturdays, within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Tandridge Hill Lane (C73) Godstone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tandridge Hill Lane (C73) Godstone which extends from its junction with A25 Oxted Road to the northern property boundary of “Surrey Hill House, Tandridge Lane” and any parts thereof; (b) suspend “Surrey County Council Tandridge Hill Lane (C73) Godstone Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar as it relates to the length of Tandridge Hill Lane as specified in sub-paragraph (a) above only.
This Order is required to enable I and A Communications to carry out pole replacement works, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 9am and 4.30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 9 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Alternative Route – Tandridge Hill Lane, Gangers Hill, The Ridge, Chalkpit Lane, Gordons Way, Barrow Green Road, Oxted Road and Tandridge Hill Lane.
