C163 Lees Lane, Dalton - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic To Allow Water Connection Replacement Works

(C163 LEES LANE, DALTON, WEST LANCASHIRE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of C163 Lees Lane, Dalton for a distance of 50m either side of the property named Cross House Farm.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours on Wednesday 12th June 2024 until 1700 hours on Friday 14th June 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:- C163 Lees Lane, Dalton – C161 Higher Lane, Dalton – A5209 Alder Lane, Parbold – A5209 Parbold Hill, Parbold – A5209 Sparrow Hill, Parbold – A5209 Hall Lane, Wrightington – B5375 Appley Lane North, Appley Bridge – C162 Appley Lane North, Appley Bridge – C162 Appley Lane South, Appley Bridge – C163 Lees Lane, Roby Mill – C163 Lees Lane, Dalton and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow water connection replacement works to be carried out by Network Plus on behalf of United Utilities.
