What is happening?

London Borough of Newham Notice of Making ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) Osborne Road, Forest Gate, E7 - New Water Connection (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER, 2024

1. The NEWHAM LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL, hereby gives notice that it made an Order - , Osborne Road, Forest Gate, E7

- New Water Connection (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic), Order 2024. The general effect of which will be to prohibit vehicular and pedestrian traffic from proceeding or waiting on the public highway.

2. The Order is made to enable Morrison Water Services Ltd working on behalf of Thames Water to carry out new water connections on the highway, or near the highway.

3. The prohibition applies from Monday 24th June 2024 until Tuesday 23rd December 2025 or on completion of the works, whichever is the sooner. It is anticipated that works will be completed by Monday 1st July 2024.

4. The general effect of which will be to close the Osborne Road, at such times the when appropriate traffic signs are displayed in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016(c).

5. Vehicular and pedestrian access will be prohibited when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016(c). Access for all local businesses will be maintained where possible.

6. This Order will not apply to vehicles used by the Emergency Services, or in connection with the works, provided that the road space is available.
