(Swan Lane, Winterbourne) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Swan Lane which extends from a point 155m south east of Old Gloucester Road south eastwards for 160m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon pole replacement works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 18 July 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Alternative route: Swan Lane (parts unaffected), High Street, Beacon Lane, Old Gloucester Road and vice versa
(New Street, Charfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of New Street which extends from a point 550m north west of Wotton Road north eastwards for a 100m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with new water service connection works. The order became operative from 24 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Pucklechurch Road which extends from Rookery Lane to Dyrham Road. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon pole replacement works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 28 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers the lengths of footpath specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon tree felling works. The order became operative from 28 June 2024 for a maximum period of six months. (Park Road, Thornbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Park Road which extends from The Castle School vehicle entrance north eastwards for 214m. Access will be maintained to any vehicle necessarily proceeding to a property that is accessible only from the restricted length of road and school buses and disabled access to The Castle School. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with active travel campaign and air quality improvements for cycling and walking to school. The order became operative from 24 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 days duration, between 8.15am and 8.45am, and 2.50pm and 3.20pm. (Stroud Road, Patchway) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Stroud Road which extends from Coniston Road eastwards for 25m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with gas main upgrade works. The order will be operative from 15 July 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 weeks duration. The above Order made on 27 March 2024, has been confirmed by South Gloucestershire Council. The effect of the order as confirmed is to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding to them a footpath commencing on public footpath ORN 19 at Point A on the order plan (grid reference ST 5441 8463), within the field to the east of Severn Beach Primary School, running in an east south-easterly direction alongside a drainage ditch at the field edge for a distance of 96m to the edge of the field at Point X (grid reference ST 5450 8462) where it meets a kissing gate and then continues for a further 8m, crossing a culverted ditch to join with the surfaced track of the public bridleway ORN54 at Point B (grid reference ST 5451 8462).
