Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:
Camp Hill Road Service Road, Nuneaton
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from a point outside Texaco between properties number 361 and 371.
Reason for Order: To rectify missing road markings, low verge & missing blocks and supporting works on Camp Hill Road.
Order Commences: 23 June 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 23 June 2024.
Access & Diversion: Camp Hill Road and vice versa.
Contractor: Headway TM, Tel: 01564 820 118.
Frances Crescent, Bedworth
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic between its junctions with Mount Pleasant Road and Margaret Avenue.
Reason for Order: To enable remedial works to rectify crowning.
Order Commences: 26 June 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 26 June 2024.
Access & Diversion: Margaret Avenue, Frances Crescent and vice versa.
Contractor: For STW, Network Plus, Tel: 07955 722 171.
For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.

(Gipsy Lane, Nuneaton) (18 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2024 (Gipsy Lane, Nuneaton) (Prohibition Of Commercial Vehicles Of Over 7.5 Tonnes) Order 2024
Warwickshire County Council has made the above-named Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which:
(i) Imposes an 18-tonne maximum gross weight restriction on that length of Gipsy Lane, Nuneaton, which is carried by the bridge known as Wem Brook Bridge, over Wem Brook- on the length of road described in Schedule 1 below.
(ii) Prohibits Heavy Commercial Vehicles (over 7.5tonnes) on that length of Gipsy Lane, Nuneaton, on the length of road described in Schedule 2 below, except for access. Exemptions will apply.
(iii) Revokes in its entirety the “The Warwickshire County Council (Gypsy Lane Canal Bridge, Nuneaton) (Weight Restriction) Order 1995” which removes the existing 7.5-tonne weight restriction over that length of Gipsy/ Gypsy Lane which is carried by the bridge over Coventry Canal.
The Orders commence on Monday 24 June 2024. A copy of the Orders and the Order which has been revoked, together with plans showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Orders, are available on the Council’s website at https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/news/20207/nuneaton-bedworth-borough.

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
Schedule 1
18 Tonne Weight Restriction (Structural Weight Limit)
Gipsy Lane, Nuneaton
(i) That length of Gipsy Lane, Nuneaton, which is carried by the bridge known as Wem Brook Bridge, over Wem Brook. Location of bridge approximately 18m west of the entry point to Gipsy Lane on the western side of the existing traffic island junction with Marston Lane, the in a westerly direction for a distance of 10 metres.

(Prohibition Of Heavy Commercial Vehicles - Over 7.5Tonnes) (Environmental Weight Limit) (Except For Access) (Exemptions Will Apply)
Gipsy Lane, Nuneaton
(i) From the entry point to Gipsy Lane on the western side of the existing traffic island junction with Marston Lane, in a westerly direction for a distance of 290 metres.
