What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Little Warley Hall Lane, West Horndon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Little Warley Hall Lane, West Horndon in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 675m south east of its junction with Southend Arterial Road to the Thurrock District Border a distance of approximately 305m.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2361990 – Essex County Council).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Alternative routes are available via

1. Southend Arterial Road, Slip Road from A127 to B186 Westbound, Link Between A127 and B186 Westbound, Warley Street, St Mary’s Lane (with access only into Little Warley Hall Lane).

2. St Mary’s Lane, Childerditch Lane, Southend Arterial Road (with access only into Little Warley Hall Lane).

The Order will come into effect on 26th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Nags Head Lane, Brentwood)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Nags Head Lane, Brentwood in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 620m south west of its junction with Brook Street for a distance of approximately 85m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th August 2024 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30017753628 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while supply installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Brook Street, Mascalls Lane, Warley Road and vice versa (with access only into Nags Head Lane).

The Order will come into effect on 26th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Old Church Lane, Mountnessing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Old Church Lane, Mountnessing in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Old Church Road for a distance of approximately 190m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th July 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WDMMDK3F – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cabling & poling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Old Church Road, Church Road, Padhams Green Road, Mountnessing Road, Old Church Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 26th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Woodway, Hutton)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Woodway, Hutton in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 145m south east of its junction with Princes Way for a distance of approximately 25m in a south easterly direction. 

The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th July 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30019253069 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cable installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Princes Way, Spurgate and vice versa (with access only into Woodway).

The Order will come into effect on 26th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Blackmore Road, Doddinghurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Blackmore Road, Doddinghurst in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Hook End Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410234028RC – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while valve repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Hook End Road, Hook End Lane, Tipps Cross Lane, Ongar Road, Blackmore Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 12th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Chivers Road, Stondon Massey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chivers Road, Stondon Massey in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Clapgate West to its junction with Ongar Road a distance of approximately 335m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd July 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30081719307 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while tree trimming works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Ongar Road, Tipps Cross Lane, Hook End Lane, Hook End Road, Blackmore Road, School Road and vice versa (with access only into Chivers Road).

The Order came into effect on 12th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Kingsley Road, Hutton)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Kingsley Road, Hutton in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 25m north east of its junction with Hall Green Lane for a distance of approximately 40m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st July 2024 for 14 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP022S50-18821 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water connection works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Hall Green Lane, Shelley Road, Tennyson Road and vice versa (with access only into Kingsley Road).

The Order came into effect on 12th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Shonks Mill Road, Navestock)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Shonks Mill Road, Navestock in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 725m in a south easterly, north easterly then south easterly direction. 

The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st July 2024 for 6 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231010777 – BAM Nuttall Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bell mouth installation works are undertaken by BAM Nuttall Ltd.

An alternative route is available via Navestock Side, Crown Road, Ongar Road, Brentwood Road, Stanford Rivers Road, Romford Road, London Road and vice versa (with access only into Princes Road and Shonks Mill Road).

The Order came into effect on 12th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
