Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 19 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of High Road (D3767) Byfleet as extends from its junction with (D3767) Hopfield Avenue to its junction with (C250) High Road. This Order is required to facilitate mains water connection works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 July 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. There will be no access for emergency service vehicles through the closure. There is no alternative route for this closure.
Connaught Road (A324) Brookwood/Pirbright and Bagshot Road (A322) Brookwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 19 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Connaught Road (A324) Brookwood/Pirbright which extends from its junction with Bagshot Road to its junction with Bisley Camp Road; and (b) prohibit heavy commercial vehicles proceeding northwards on Bagshot Road (A322) Brookwood from turning left into A324 Connaught Road. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out footway reconstructions works and/or major maintenance works. The Order will commence on 21 June 2024 for a period of 17 months, and which continues in force the provisions of a Notice issued under Section 14(2) of the Act, namely “Surrey County Council Connaught Road (A324) Brookwood/ Pirbright and Bagshot Road (A322) Brookwood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2024”, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed within approximately 15 to 20 days. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency services vehicles to these properties, will be maintained where possible and if necessary via the diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Main Diversion Route: A324 Connaught Road, D44 Connaught Road, D44 Bisley Camp Road, D44 Queens Road, X44 Queens Road, D31 Queens Road, A322 Guildford Road and A322 Bagshot Road. Alternative Route for HGV ban left turn: continue northwards on A324 Bagshot Road, A322 Guildford Road, turn around at the Gordon Boys roundabout and back down again to join main diversion route.
