VARIOUS SCHOOL STREETS

*The Wandsworth (School Streets) (No. 1) Experimental Order 2024

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth on 12 June 2024 made the above order under sections 9 and 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

2. The general effects of the Order is to introduce School Streets as detailed in the Schedule to this Notice.

3. Copies of the Order, which will come into operation on 20 June 2024, and of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of a period of six months from the date on which the Order was made in The Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU.

4. Whilst the Order remains in force the Assistant Director - Traffic and Engineering, or some person authorised by him, may modify or suspend the Order or any provision contained in them if it appears to him or that other person essential in the interests of the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of traffic or of the provision of suitable and adequate parking facilities on the highway or for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which any road affected by the Order runs.

5. The Council will consider in due course whether the provisions of the Orders should be reproduced and continued in force indefinitely by means of Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Any person wishing to object to the making of Orders for the purpose of such reproduction and continuation may, within the above mentioned period of six months, send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds on which it is made to the Director of Environment and Community Services at the address below (quoting the reference ES/ TMO/2044).

6. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements of that Act or of any relevant regulations made under that Act have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1)

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE -CULVERT ROAD, SW11

1. The Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate highway maintenance works to be undertaken ("the works") they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce temporary prohibitions of traffic in Culvert Road.

2. Whilst the works take place, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, proceed or wait in Culvert Road, between its junctions with Eversleigh Road and Sheepcote Lane.

3. Whilst the Order remains in force, alternative routes for vehicles (if applicable) will be available, as indicated by traffic signs.

4. The Order will come into effect on 14 June 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum of 18 months or until the works are complete, whichever is the sooner. The restrictions would only apply at such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by the placing of traffic signs. The works are expected to be completed by 31 August 2024

5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with

the execution of the said works or any public

service or utility vehicle; (b)anything done with the permission or at the

direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil

enforcement officer; or (c)any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade

or ambulance purposes.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE -BURNTWOOD LANE SW17

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth has made an order to restrict vehicular movement in Burntwood Lane to facilitate highway works by Rochford construction.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter or exit Burntwood Lane at its junction of Ellerton Road. There will be no waiting at any time. The cycle lane on Burntwood Lane will also be suspended from the junction of Beechcroft Road to the junction of Springfield Drive.

3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

5. The order will come into operation on 17 June 2024 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 5 July 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE -CHETWODE ROAD SW17

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth has made an order to restrict vehicular movement in Chetwode Road to facilitate Electric utility works.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Chetwode Road at the junction with Trinity Road. There will be no waiting at any time.

3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

4. Further information may be obtained from the Council's Network Management section -telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

5. The order will come into operation on 22 June 2024 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 23 June 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE -LYDDEN ROAD & BENDON VALLEY SW18

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth has made an order to restrict vehicular movement in Lydden Road and Bendon Vally to facilitate a new sewer connection works.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Lydden Road from the junction of Bendon Valley to outside number 77 and Bendon Valley from the junction Lydden Road to the junction of Garratt Lane. There will be no waiting at any time.

3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

4. Further information may be obtained from the Council's Network Management section -telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

5. The order will come into operation on 17 June 2024 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 5 July 2024.
