Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
(U63015 Old Wyche Road, Malvern Wells) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of U63015 Old Wyche Road from its junction with B4218 Wyche Road to its junction with Gordon Terrace (Private).
Reason: Carriageway Resurfacing by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: B4218 Wyche Road, A449 Wells Road, U63015 Old Wyche Road.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days between 8 July 2024 and 26 July 2024.
(U95403 Timmins Lane, Hanley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of U95403 Timmins Lane from its junction with U95402 Yarnolds View to its junction with U95400 Hanley Childe.
Reason: To renew existing BT pole in verge side by HSC Worcester Ltd.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: U95402 Yarnolds Road, U95400 Hanley Childe, U95403 Timmins Lane and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 9 July 2024.
(C2091 Hanley William, Hanley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of C2091 Hanley William from its junction with U95617 Eastham to its junction with B4204 Broadheath.
Reason: Renewal of BT pole by HSC Worcester Ltd.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: C2091 Eastham, B4204 Broadheath, B4204 Eastham, U95406 Eastham, C2087 Eastham, C2091 Eastham, and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 11 July 2024.
(U63359 Spring Lane South, Malvern) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of U63359 Spring Lane South from its junction with U63361 Spring Lane to its junction with U63379 Sandy's Road.
Reason: Footway Reconstruction by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: U63379 Sandy's Road, B4208 Townsend Way, A449 Worcester Road, U63361 Spring Lane and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 nights (18:00-03:00). Commencing: 8 July 2024.
(B4503 Lower Interfields, Leigh Sinton) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of B4503 Lower Interfields from its junction with C2237 Lower Howsell Road for a distance of 50 metres in a southerly direction.
Reason: Replacement water main by Amey Plc.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: B4503 Malvern Road, A4103 Leigh Sinton, A4103 Dragons Cross, A4103 Storridge into Herefordshire, B4219 Cowleigh Park, B4219 Cowleigh Road, B4232 North Malvern Road, A449 Worcester Road, B4503 Newtown Road, B4503 Leigh Sinton Road, B4503 Upper Interfields, B4503 Lower Interfields (part) and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 days (24 hrs). Commencing: 8 July 2024.
(B4208 Pendock) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Order made: To close that part of B4208 Pendock from its junction with C2219 Pendock Cross to its junction with U61004 Eldersfield.
Reason: Kerb raising by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: B4208 Gadfield Elm, B4208 Malvern Road into Gloucestershire, B4211 Corse Lawn, A438 Long Green, A438 Upper Pendock, A438 Berrow, B4208 Berrow, B4208 Pendock and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days. Commencing: 20 June 2024. Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (As Amended)
(Malvern Hills District) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2013 (Variation) Order 2024 [Prohibition of Waiting on Clarence Road, Malvern]
On 30 May 2024 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time on the following length of road in Malvern: Clarence Road (south side) - From a point 52m east of its junction with Priory Road for 60m in an easterly direction.
The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles. The Order will come into operation on 20 June 2024.
A copy of the Order, relevant map and Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be downloaded at the Malvern Hills Public Notice page on the Worcestershire County Council Website or inspected at Malvern Hills District Council, Council House, Avenue Road, Malvern WR14 3AF and County Hall, Spetchley Road, Worcester WR5 2NP during normal office hours.
The validity of the Council's powers in making the Order or this exercise of them may be questioned by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
