What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL

(CAUNCE STREET) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 18th June 2024 the Blackpool Borough Council made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers to allow for site hoardings to be placed in the carriageway for the renovation of Stanley Buildings. The effect of the Order will be to:

(a) Prohibit any pedal cycles from entering or proceeding in any direction along the contra flow cycle lane along the length of Caunce Street between its junction with King Street and its junction with Cookson Street

(b) Suspend the loading bays on Caunce Street between its junction with King Street and its junction with Cookson Street

(c) Suspend the pay and display parking bays on Caunce Street between its junction with King Street and its junction with Cookson Street

Note: Vehicular access to be maintained into Stanley Buildings courtyard All diversion routes will be clearly signed and maintained on site.

Pedestrian access to premises shall be maintained at all times.

The proposed Order will commence on 26th June 2024 and continue in force for eighteen months or until the sooner completion of the aforesaid works. It is expected that the works will take 54 weeks.
