Green Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving For Active Travel Works
What is happening?
The Metropolitan Borough Council Of Stockport (Green Lane, Romiley) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Notice 2024
Notice Is Hereby Given that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which is to introduce a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at Green Lane from the junction of The Tang in a southwesterly direction for approx. 65m whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said roads.
This notice is issued to facilitate Active Travel works on Green Lane. It is anticipated that the maximum duration of the works will be 18 months. Alternative routes will be provided via:- Stockport Road, Gorsey Brow and Hatherlow.
This Order is to come into operation on the 2 September 2024 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Ref: ZLA/3135012.
