Romney Avenue - Reserved Bus Lane Order 2024
What is happening?
CITY OF BRISTOL
(ROMNEY AVENUE, LOCKLEAZE WARD, CITY OF BRISTOL) (RESERVED BUS LANE) ORDER 2024
The City Council of Bristol hereby gives NOTICE that on 13th June 2024 it made a traffic order, the effect of which will be to reduce the length of the existing two-way traffic flow bus-only lane (bus gate) in Romney Avenue from 155 metres to 15 metres.
The bus lane (bus gate) northernmost entry/exit point will remain located 10 metres south of Danby Street and the extent will be reduced in length from 155 metres to 15 metres and will remain for use by pedal cycles and public service vehicles also.
The order will come into operation on 20th June 2024 and copy thereof, together with plans, a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for making the order and a copy of the order to be revoked may be inspected at the Citizen Service Point, 100 Temple Street, Bristol, BS1 6AG, between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on Monday to Friday.
Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the orders on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the orders were made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
