What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH CODICOTE 14

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has extended, with consent

of the Secretary of State, the Order which was made under Section 14 (1) of the

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. To prohibit pedestrians from using that length

of Footpath Codicote 14, heading south from junction with Codicote 15 to St Albans

Road, for an approximate distance of 165 metres.

Alternative route: via Codicote 15 and St Albans Road

The purpose of the Order is to enable demolition and ulilities works to take place.

The section of Footpath will continue to be closed for up to 12 months until

17/06/2025 or completion of the works whichever is sooner

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BRIDLEWAY ST STEPHEN 1

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under

Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians,

horseriders, and cyclists from using that length of Bridleway St Stephen 1, heading

west from Noke Lane, for an approximate distance of 150m.

Alternative Route: no suitable alternative on PRoW network

The purpose of the Order is to enable utilities works to take place.

The section of Bridleway St Stephen 1 will be closed on or after 28 June 2024 for

up to 5 weeks, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTIONS ON A5183 DUNSTABLE ROAD, REDBOURN DURING 'TOTFEST') ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of A5183 Dunstable Road, Redbourn from its junction with the A5 (unnamed road)/M1 (junction 9) roundabout south eastwards to a point 40m south east of its junction with Redding Lane, a distance of approximately 1160m ("the Road"), when signs are in place. The Order is needed to ensure public safety and prevent accidents during the TOTfest' event.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS

IN WHITE HORSE LANE, LONDON COLNEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of White Horse Lane, London Colney from its junction with A414 North Orbital Road south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with High Street, a distance of approximately 1222m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via A414 North Orbital Road and High Street. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY 20MPH SPEED RESTRICTIONS ON VARIOUS ROADS IN CHISWELL GREEN, ST ALBANS AND HARPENDEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from driving at a speed exceeding 20mph on the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), when signs are in place:-

1. that length of A405 North Orbital Road, Chiswell Green from its junction with the Tippendell Lane roundabout north eastwards to its junction with the A414 North Orbital Road/A5183 Watling Street roundabout, a distance of approximately 924m.

2. that length of A4147 Hemel Hempstead Road, St Albans from its junction with the King Harry Lane roundabout south westwards for a distance of approximately 2250m.

3. that length of A1081 St Albans Road, Harpenden from its junction with Beesonend Lane north westwards to its junction with the Walkers Road/B487 Redbourn Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 1067m.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30 June 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SANDRIDGEBURY LANE, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sandridgebury Lane, St Albans from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.19 Sandridgebury Lane north eastwards to its junction with Valley Road, a distance of approximately 137m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via Sandridgebury Lane, A1081 Harpenden Road, Beech Road, Firbank Road and Valley Road.

The Order is needed to facilitate the delivery and collection of an excavator is proposed to be executed on the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 July 2024 for a period

of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the

times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF EAST LANE, WHEATHAMPSTEAD AND KIPLING WAY, HARPENDEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-

1. that length of East Lane, Wheathampstead from its junction with B651 High Street south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 214m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Kipling Way, Harpenden from its junction with B652 Station Road south eastwards for its entire length.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SLEAPSHYDE, SMALLFORD) ORDER NO.2 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sleapshyde, Smallford from its junction with A414 North Orbital Road north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 195m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via A414 North Orbital Road, the A414 North Orbital Road/A1(M) (junction 3) roundabout, A414 North Orbital Road, Smallford Lane, Sleapshyde Lane and Sleapshyde.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 July 2024 for a period

of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the

times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF NAPSBURY AVENUE, LONDON COLNEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Napsbury Avenue, London Colney from a point 30m north east of its junction with the B5378 Shenley Lane/Goldring Way roundabout north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via Napsbury Avenue, B5378 Shenley Lane, Coombes Road, Aubrey Avenue and Napsbury Avenue.

The Order is needed because electrical service connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 June 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN ST ALBANS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads") and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Sandpit Lane, St Albans from its junction with Lancaster Road north eastwards to its westernmost junction with Gurney Court Road, a distance of approximately 147m.

An alternative route will be via Lancaster Road, B651 Sandridge Road, Marshalswick Lane and Gurney Court Road.

2. that length of Upper Marlborough Road, St Albans from its junction with Bricket Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m.

An alternative route will be via Bricket Road, B691 Victoria Street, Upper Lattimore Road, A1057 Hatfield Road and Upper Marlborough Road.

3. that length of Bricket Road, St Albans from its junction with Upper Marlborough Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m.

An alternative route will be via Upper Marlborough Road, A1057 Hatfield Road,

Upper Lattimore Road, B691 Victoria Street and Bricket Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 June 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.
