What is happening?

THE CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (PUBLIC FOOTPATH 15 AND 16 (PART) IN THE PARISH OF ALLOSTOCK) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2022.

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order being extended and continuing in force until 31 December 2024. The effect the Order is to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on that length of Public Footpath 16 Allostock commencing on the existing footpath at OSGR SJ 7278 7203 and runs in a generally north westerly direction to a point on the existing FP16 at OSGR SJ 7214 7267. Also that length of Public Footpath 15 Allostock commencing on the junction with FP 16 Allostock at OSGR SJ 7276 7205 and running in a north easterly direction to a point on the existing FP15 at OSGR SJ 7298 7261

The closure is necessary because works are proposed to be executed to install cabling in the area of the footpaths. This order does not prevent any pedestrians with access to premises situated on or adjacent to the public footpaths only accessible from the path or by any emergency vehicle. The Order came into force on 17 June 2022 and would have ended on the 17 June 2024.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC TTRO7887 Moss Bank Service Road in Winsford Over & Verdin Ward

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Winsford Over & Verdin Ward to enable Gas mains replacement works to be carried out by Cadent. Moss Bank Service Road - Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes.

A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 18th June 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 2 weeks to complete.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC TRO7901 Yatehouse Lane in Shakerley Ward

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Shakerley Ward to enable Gas valve maintenance works to be carried out by Cadent. Yatehouse Lane - Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes.

A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 1st July 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 2 weeks to complete. Alternative routes for through traffic - Traffic should proceed via King Street, Centurion Way, Centurion Way Roundabout, Byley Road, Drakelow Lane, Yatehouse Lane.
