What is happening?

BATH & NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL

(THTTC3461 B3355 WINTERFIELD ROAD, PAULTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of B3355 Winterfield Road, Paulton from its junction with Bloomfield Rise extending north to its junction with Bloomfield Lane. USRN: 47918098.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wessex Water to replace 2 x defective Section 81 manhole covers in the carriageway on the 16th June 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. 

This is anticipated to be for ONE DAY.

(THTTC3490 STITCHINGS SHORD LANE, BISHOP SUTTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Stitchings Shord Lane, Bishop Sutton from its junction with Ham Lane extending west for approximately 90 metres.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to carry out a pole replacement on the 1st July 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 09:30-15:30hrs.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Dead-end road – Access will be maintained for residents.

(THTTC3510 GASTON AVENUE, KEYNSHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Gaston Avenue, Keynsham from a point outside property number 26 extending east for approximately 122 metres to a point outside property number 40. USRN: 47903056.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer renovation works on the 1st July 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for THIRTY DAYS.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Gaston Avenue (remainder) – Avon Road – Fox and Hounds Lane – Bath Hill – Bath Road – Unity Road – Gaston Avenue – vice versa.
