(Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that on the 7th day of June 2024 Somerset Council made the above Order in exercise of the provisions of Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as previously advertised on the 30th day of May 2024, to introduce temporary traffic restrictions on the roads specified in the Schedules below. This Order will come into operation on the 13th day of June 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The Works are expected to commence on the 23rd day of June 2024 for one day (between 0800 hours and 1800 hours) to enable OCU Group working on behalf of Vodafone Limited to carry out interim patches in reinstatement works. The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order

a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
