Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of 491000 North Road West outside the property known as No. 8 Shakespeare Cottage for a distance of approximately 30 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for remedial works to be carried out in the verge.

The reason for the closure is carrying out rail bridge maintenance works.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS (PRESTBURY PARISH) CHELTENHAM BOROUGH
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedule below (“the Roads”).

SCHEDULE

There will be no waiting permitted of vehicles throughout the duration of the intended works.
The reason for the said closures and restrictions is for Carriageway Resurfacing.
The Roads are expected to be closed and restricted during various times on a rolling programme, commencing from 17th June 2024 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/ times will be displayed on site prior to the closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order will permit the closure and restriction of the Roads in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by the 26th June 2024.

TEMPORARY SPEED AND WEIGHT RESTRICTION C220 COLD POOL LANE (BADGEWORTH PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUCH
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C220 Cold Pool Lane to a speed limit of 30mph and to a 7.5 tonne weight restriction from its junction with Badgeworth 
Lane to its junction with Grovefield Way for a distance of approximately 1600 metres.
The reason for the closure is for public safety reasons as Cold Pool Lane is currently being used as a diversion route whilst Badgeworth Lane Rail Bridge is closed following a landslip. Cold Pool Lane is narrow in places and safety is paramount.
The road was originally restricted for 5 days by Urgent Notice commencing 31st May 2024. However, the issues are still ongoing so it is necessary to extend the closure by an Order which can authorise the restriction of the road for up to eighteen months from the date of the original Notice. The said road is expected to be restricted from 4th June 2024 and until the issues have been resolved. TEMPORARY ONE WAY RESTRICTION A38 MORETON VALENCE LAYBY TO CHURCH LANE (MORETON VALENCE PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an order under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to temporarily restrict the layby to introduce a one way restriction for the whole of the layby on the A38 Moreton Valence Layby from its junction with the Layby 10 metres North of Castle Lane Junction to a point 130 metres North of Castle Lane Junction (end of Layby) for a distance of approximately 120 metres.
The one way restriction is necessary to carry out lining on the east side of the layby opposite to the site entrance to act as traffic management throughout the solar farm construction.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH EBW2 (BROCKWORTH PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath EBW2 from its junction with Public Footpath EHU 2 and then extending in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 780 metres to a point on EBW 2.
The said Public Footpath falls within the Parish of Brockworth in the Tewkesbury Borough, within the County of Gloucestershire.
The closure is necessary to safeguard the public whilst adjacent construction works are completed.
This temporary closure Order came into force on the 25h January 2024 and was due to expire on 25th July 2024. However, works have still not completed and an extension has been granted by the Secretary of State for Transport and will last until 25th January 2026, or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
