Cooksmill Green, Highwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cooksmill Green, Highwood in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 670m north east then north west of its junction with Ongar Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th July 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA001WF7V0D0B – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while poling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Cooksmill Green, Ongar Road, Radley Green Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 20th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Gay Bowers Road, Danbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Capons Lane & Hyde Lane, Danbury) (Temporary Suspension of 7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Gay Bowers Road, Danbury in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Capons Lane for a distance of approximately 70m in a south westerly direction.
2. To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction on that length of Capons Lane & Hyde Lane, Danbury, from its junction with Maldon Road B1418 to its junction with Gay Bowers Road as cited in the “ The Borough of Chelmsford (Various Roads Chelmsford Area) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles Exceeding 7.5 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight) Order, 1981 “ for the duration of the closure only.
The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 8th July 2024 for 15 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30039142099 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead line upgrade and pole replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Bicknacre Road, White Elm Road, Hyde Lane, Capons Lane and vice versa (with access only into Gay Bowers Road).
The Order will come into effect on 20th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Generals Lane, Boreham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Generals Lane, Boreham in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Road Between Generals Lane and Beaulieu Parkway for a distance of approximately 450m in a north westerly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th July 2024 for 54 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231010892 – Breheny Civil Engineering). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while reconstruction and change of alignment works are undertaken by Breheny Civil Engineering.
An alternative route is available via Generals Lane, Beaulieu Parkway and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 20th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(High Easter Road – Bishops Green – Zc10104, Barnston) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Easter Road – Bishops Green – Zc10104, Barnston in the District of Uttlesford from a point approximately 255m south west from its junction with Sallets Farm Lane, for a distance of approximately 180m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th July 2024 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06051667/AP – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via High Easter Road, Chelmsford Road, Dunmow Road, Lawn Hall Chase, Main Road, Wall Chase, Church Lane, Warners Farm Roundabout, Essex Regiment Way, Penden Hill, Pleshey Road, Ford End Road, The Street, Bury Road, Stagden Cross Road, Rehobeth Street, Barnston Road, High Easter Road – Bishops Green – Zc10104 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 20th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, City of Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.12) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the City of Chelmsford as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on those lengths of roads specified in the schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Chelmsford City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 20th June 2024, exact dates will be specified on One.Network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

1. To temporarily close that length of road in the City of Chelmsford as specified in the schedule to this Order.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Witham Road, Little Braxted/Little Braxted Lane, Witham in the District of Maldon and District of Braintree, from a point approximately 865m south of the junction with Colemans Bridge for a distance of approximately 120m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH10004079 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while installation of fencing and removal of trees works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Workhouse Lane, South Woodham Ferrers) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Workhouse Lane, South Woodham Ferrers in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Creephedge Lane to its junction with Main Road a distance of approximately 770m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2362516 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Main Road, Burnham Road, Fen Roundabout, Willow Grove and vice versa.

(Boreham Road & Goodmans Lane, Great Leighs) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Boreham Road, Great Leighs in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 30m north east of its junction with Goodmans Lane for a distance of approximately 80m in a south westerly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Goodmans Lane, Great Leighs in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Boreham Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 27th June 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF6JLJ0B01 & BC008WF6JLJ0B02 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one. network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole renewal works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Highfield Road, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Highfield Road, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Sunnydale Road for a distance of approximately 105m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th June 2024 for 21 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP003S50-2104B-D – GTM).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water connection works are undertaken by GTM.
An alternative route is available via Highfield Road, Pines Road, Melbourne Avenue, Chignal Road, Roxwell Road and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lower Road/Latchmore Bank, Little Hallingbury in the District of Uttlesford, from the junction with Wrights Green Lane to the junction with Church Road a distance of approximately 2480m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th June 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2366926 & EP201EH2367367 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via, Dunmow Road, Bishops Stortford Bypass, Flyover At M11 Junction 8, M11 J8 Roundabout, Northbound Slip From Bishops Stortford, Stane Street, Station Road, High Street, Feathers Hill, Old Street Hill, Chelmsford Road, Stortford Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 6th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Wheelers Hill & Cranham Road, Little Waltham & Cranham Road & Waltham Road, Boreham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
Phase 1. To temporarily close that length of Wheelers Hill, Little Waltham in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Wheelers Farm Roundabout to its junction with Cranham Road a distance of approximately 620m.
Phase 2. To temporarily close that length of Cranham Road, Little Waltham in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Wheelers Hill to its junction with Domsey Lane a distance of approximately 535m.
Phase 3. To temporarily close that length of Cranham Road, Little Waltham/Boreham in City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Domsey Lane to its junction with Waltham Road a distance of approximately 1790m.
Phase 4. To temporarily close that length of Waltham Road & Cranham Road, Boreham in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 330m south east of the junction with Drakes Lane for a distance of approximately 665m in a south easterly direction and from the junction of Waltham Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a south westerly direction

The closures are scheduled to commence on 25th June 2024 for 21 days (works to be completed in 4 phases), or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231010884/ EP02231010883/EP02231010886/EP02231010885 – EDF). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while survey works are undertaken by EDF.
