Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AND SWALE AREAS
Various Roads, Bredgar, Wormshill & Hollingbourne. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ENVIRONMENTAL WIDTH RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on various roads in Bredgar, Wormshill & Hollingbourne, on or after 8th July 2024, with estimated completion by 12th July 2024, between the hours of 08.00 and 16.00, or until the works have been completed.

Road Closures
Swanton Street, Bredgar
Swanton Street will be closed from 8th July 2024, with estimated completion by 12th July 2024.
The road will be closed between Bashford Barn Lane and Court Dane Shaws, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Swanton Street, The Street, Primrose Lane, Bredgar Road, Hearts Delight Road, Bannister Hill, Borden Lane, A2 London Road, Key Street, Key Street roundabout, A249 Maidstone Road, Stockbury roundabout, Sittingbourne Road, Detling Hill, Bearsted Road, New Cut Road, A20 Ashford Road, B2163 Eyhorne Street, Upper Street, Hollingbourne Hill, Court Dane Shaws and vice versa.
Hawks Hill Lane, Bredgar & Bashford Barn Lane, Bredgar
Hawks Hill Lane and Bashford Barn Lane will be closed from 8th July 2024, with estimated completion by 12th July 2024.
The roads will be closed between Lime Kiln Road and Swanton Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Bexon Lane, Hawkes Hill Lane and then join main diversion route.
Lime Kiln Road, Bredgar
Lime Kiln Road wlll be closed from 8th July 2024, with estimated completion by 12th July 2024.
The road will be closed in its entirety, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Bottom Pond Road, Bexon Lane, Hawks Hill Lane and vice versa.
Court Danes Shaw, Wormshill & Hollingbourne
Court Danes Shaw will be closed from 8th July 2024, with estimated completion by 12th July 2024.
The road will be closed from the junction with Swanton Street, to the access road to Darby Shaw, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Swanton Street, The Street, Primrose Lane, Bredgar Road, Hearts Delight Road, Bannister Hill, Borden Lane, A2 London Road, Key Street, Key Street roundabout, A249 Maidstone Road, Stockbury roundabout, Sittingbourne Road, Detling Hill, Bearsted Road, New Cut Road, A20 Ashford Road, B2163 Eyhorne Street, Upper Street, Hollingbourne Hill, Court Dane Shaws and vice versa.
Suspended Width Restrictions
The following roads will have their environmental width restriction of 6’6” suspended throughout the duration of the works to facilitate diverted traffic:-
Hearts Delight Road, Tunstall for the entire road.
Hearts Delight, Borden between Hearts Delight Road and Bannister Hill.
Bannister Hill, Borden between Hearts Delight and Borden Lane.
Borden Lane, Borden between Bannister Hill and Adelaide Drive.
