Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
A274 Sutton Road, Langley (30MPH SPEED REDUCTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A274 Sutton Road, Langley, on or after 24th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be restricted to 30MPH between St. Mary’s Church and Orchard House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
B2162 Benover Road, Yalding (30MPH SPEED REDUCTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic to 30MPH on part of B2162 Benover Road, Yalding, on or after 26th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be restricted to 30MPH between Melbury and Congelow House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Bower Place, Maidstone, ME16 8BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new gas connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bower Place, Maidstone, on or after 26th June 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between 14 and 40. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The One-way order will be suspended to allow access between 2 and 12.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A26 Tonbridge Road, Bower Lane and vice versa.
Busbridge Road, Loose, ME15 0HY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Busbridge Road, Loose, on or after 8th July 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 21. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Busbridge Road, Mill Street, Well Street, Forstal Lane, Stockett Lane and vice versa.
Church Lane, East Sutton, ME17 3DE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Lane, East Sutton, on or after 12th July 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Ss Peter and Paul’s Church, between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Workhouse Lane, Chartway Street, Charlton Lane, Church Lane and vice versa.
Darman Lane, Paddock Wood, TN12 6PN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Darman Lane, Paddock Wood, on or after 27th June 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Little Darman Farm, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Queen Street, Mile Oak Road, Church Road, Station Road, B2160 Maidstone Road, A228 Whetsted Road, A228 Branbridges Road, Branbridges Ind Est Roundabout, Beltring Road, Gravelly Ways, Laddingford and vice versa.
Five Oak Lane, Staplehurst, TN12 0HE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new water connection to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Five Oak Lane, Staplehurst, on or after 8th July 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Brattle Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Five Oak Lane, Goudhurst Road, Folly Hill, Colliers Green Road, Round Green Lane, Horden Road, Curtisden Green Lane, B2079 Winchet Hill, B2079 Goudhurst Road, Sherenden Lane, Wilden Park Road, Five Oak Lane and vice versa.
Gallants Lane, East Farleigh, ME15 0JS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gallants Lane, East Farleigh, on or after 12th July 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Parsonage Cottages, between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2010 Lower Road, B2163 Ewell Lane, B2163 Heath Road, Gallants Lane and vice versa.
Headcorn Road, Lenham, ME17 2HS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow network rail works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Headcorn Road, Lenham, on or after 30th June 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 06:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, Faversham Road, A20 Ashford Road, East Street, Young Lane, Sandway Road, Headcorn Road and vice versa.
Smarden Road, Headcorn (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Smarden Road, Headcorn, on or after 9th July 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Barnland House, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A274 Biddenden Road, Shenley Road, Smarden Bell Road, Headcorn Road and vice versa.
St Faiths Street, Maidstone, ME14 1RL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Faiths Street, Maidstone, on or after 9th July 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside the Adult Education Centre, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via St Faiths Street, A229 Fairmeadow, B2012 Staceys Street, Sandling Road, Station Road and vice versa.
