(Carriageway Retexturing Programme) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close, introduce a temporary prohibition of waiting at anytime on the following roads throughout their entire lengths unless otherwise stated. This Order will also introduce a temporary 30mph speed limit on major ‘A’ class roads and a temporary
20mph speed limit on minor and non-classified roads:
Horsham: A264 Horsham Northern bypass, between Rusper Roundabout junction and Great Daux Roundabout junction;
B2180 Hurst Road, from North Street roundabout westwards for 50m; B2195 North Street, between B2180 and Park Street;
B2195 North Street roundabout junction; B2195 Park Street, between North Street and Norfolk Road; Langhurst Wood Road from the A264 to Home Farm; Nightingale Road, at junction with North Street; Old Holbrook, from the A264 for 22m;
Southwater: Two Mile Ash Road, between Marlpost Road and Tower Hill.
These road closures are needed to protect public safety whilst the 2024 highway retexturing programme is carried out. It is expected that the affected roads will be closed for upto 3 days.
Reduced speed limits may be required during the works and between phases of the works. The exact dates and duration of the works and the traffic management in each location will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time.
The Order will come into effect on 1 July 2024 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the works programme is completed, whichever is earlier.
During the works alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated
on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

((Horsham District) (Parking Places and Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation No. 2) Order 2006) (Godstalls Lane Amendment) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to extend the lengths of prohibition of waiting at all times (double yellow lines) on Godstalls Lane,
Steyning south of the junction with Newham Lane southwards by 10m on the east side and by 108m on the west side.
The Order will come into operation on 17 June 2024.
Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to have a copy of the Order should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive a copy by post.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the groundsthat any requirements of the act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 13 June 2024, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
