Ramsey, Essex - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic to Allow Nearby Third-party Cabling Works

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)(a) AND (7) THE A120 TRUNK ROAD (RAMSEY, ESSEX) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) has made an Order on the A120 Trunk Road at Ramsey in Essex to allow nearby third-party cabling works and general routine maintenance to be carried out in safety.

The works are expected to take place over 3 nights (8pm- 5am Mon to Fri) starting on or after Monday 24 June 2024.

The effect of the Order will be to close the westbound carriageway of the A120 from the western side of Ramsey Roundabout, Harwich for approximately 290 metres west – diverting traffic via Church Hill, the B1352, B1414, B1033 and B1035 to rejoin the A120 at Horsley Cross roundabout.

The closure (which will not apply to emergency service, traffic officer or works vehicles) and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

The Order will come into force on 17 June 2024 and may continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed, or for a maximum duration of eighteen months, or whichever is the earlier.
