NORTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO DISPOSE OF OPEN SPACE LAND BY WAY OF A LONG LEASE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 SECTION 123 LAND AT FLATWORTH PLAYING FIELD, HIGH FLATWORTH, TYNE TUNNEL TRADING ESTATE, NORTH SHIELDS

Notice is hereby given that The Council of the Borough of North Tyneside intends to dispose of the following land through the grant of a long lease for sports use:

Land at Flatworth Playing Field, High Flatworth, Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate, North Shields – open space measuring circa 3.49 Hectares.

The land in question forms part of the open space area only and is located east of the A19, accessed via High Flatworth, North Shields.

A plan showing the area concerned may be viewed on the Property Page on the Council’s website www.northtyneside.gov.uk

By virtue of Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended) the Borough Council is required to give formal notice of its intention to dispose of open space and consider any objections to the proposed disposal. Please note that the proposed disposal is subject to the general public having a retained access to the land.

Any representations or objections to the intended disposal must be made in writing and addressed to the Strategic Property Team at the email/address below by 4th of July 2024.
