Pool Hey Lane - Prohibition of Through Traffic to Allow New Electrical Connection Works
What is happening?
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (C131 POOL HEY LANE, SCARISBRICK, WEST LANCASHIRE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of C131 Pool Hey Lane, Scarisbrick from the North Eastern side of Pool Hey Level Crossing to the North Eastern Boundary of the property named The Beeches.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours on Monday 24th June 2024 until 1700 hours on Monday 1st July 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:- C136 Wyke Lane, Scarisbrick – C136 Wyke Lane, Banks – C136 Moss Lane, Churchtown (into Sefton Borough) – Moss Lane, Sefton – A5267 Roe Lane, Sefton – B5276 Norwood Avenue, Sefton – B5276 Norwood Road, Sefton – B5276 Meols Cop Road, Sefton – A570 Scarisbrick New Road, Sefton (into West Lancashire Borough) – A570 Southport Road, Scarisbrick and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow new electrical connection works to be carried out by Network Plus on behalf of Electricity North West.
