What is happening?

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(SANDHILL CLOSE, MILLBROOK)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Sandhill Close, Millbrook approximately 20 metres either side of the railway bridge.
This temporary closure is required to enable brickwork repairs to the structure and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 1 to 5 July 2024 between the hours of 10pm and 6am. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via Millbrook Road, B530, A507, Sandhill Close and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 1 July 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(VARIOUS ROADS, VARIOUS PARISHES)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the following lengths of road in Central Bedfordshire.
These temporary closures are required to enable various carriageway repair, patching, gully and street lighting installation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
The Order will come into operation on 1 July 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
It is expected that the first works will take place at some point between 1 July and 23 October 2024. Specific dates and times will be signed locally. The roads will be closed at all times during this period.
The effect of the Order will allow the Council to close to vehicular traffic on the following lengths of road:
i. College Road, Cranfield between Lancaster Road, Filling Station and Crawley Road. Three closures to take place, dates and times will be signed locally. The alternative route for this closure is via College Road, Crawley Road, High Street, Moulsoe Road, University Way and vice versa.
ii. Astwood Road, Cranfield between Greens Close and Eyreswood Farm. The alternative route for this closure is via Astwood Road, A422, Chicheley Road, High Street, Crawley Road and vice versa.
iii. Highfield Crescent, Brogborough outside number 21. The alternative route for this closure is via Bedford Road, Hill Crescent, Ridgway Road and vice versa.
iv. Woburn Street, Ampthill near junction with Dunstable Street. The alternative route for this closure is via B530, A507, Flitwick Road and vice versa.
v. Deadmans Hill, Clophill between West End and split carriageway junction. The alternative route for this closure is via A6, A421, A600, A507 and vice versa.
vi. Greenfield Road, Westoning between High Street and the bridge past the railway. The alternative route for this closure is via Westoning Road, Greenfield Road, Kings Road, A5120 and vice versa.
vii. Maulden Road, Flitwick between Hatfield Road and Enterprise Way. The alternative route for this closure is via Greenfield Road, Westoning Road, A5120, A507, Maulden Road and vice versa.
viii. Barton Road, Pulloxhill (Kitchen End) between The White House and Bedford Road (A6). The alternative route for this closure is via Barton Road, Flitton Road, Silsoe Road, Ampthill Road, High Street, A6 and vice versa.
ix. Warren Lane, Clophill and Silsoe. The alternative route for this closure is via A6, A507 and vice versa.
x. Lower Shelton Road, Marston Moreteyne outside numbers 195 to 45. The alternative route for this closure is via Lower Shelton Road, Upper Shelton Road, Bedford Road, Beancroft Road, Lower Shelton Road and vice versa.
xi. Poppy Drive, Abbey Lane and Oliver Street, Ampthill between Neotsbury Road and Poppy Drive. The alternative route for this closure is via Abbey Lane, Flitwick Road, A507, Flitwick Road, Oliver Street and vice versa.
xii. Stondon Road, Shillington at bend near Marquis Hill. The alternative route for this closure is via Shillington Road, Station Road, A600, A507, Shefford Road, Meppershall Road, Upton End Road and vice versa.
xiii. Arthur Street, Ampthill. The alternative route for this closure is via Dunstable Street, Oliver Street and vice versa.

(VICARAGE HILL, FLITWICK)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Vicarage Hill, Flitwick outside number 3.
This temporary closure is required to enable water connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 18 to 20 June 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Vicarage Hill, Lyall Close, Glebe Avenue, A5120 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 18 June 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
