Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Barford St John & Barford St Michael, Bloxham Road Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 01/07/2024
Coming into force: 08/07/2024
This Order is being introduced because of strengthening and resurfacing of Barford Bridge resulting in removal of the temporary weight and width restrictions over structure.
The works are anticipated to be completed during September 2024. This is a 24 hour road closure.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit through traffic proceeding in Bloxham Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to property which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Bloxham Road, Barford Road, Milton
Road, Berry Hill Road, Oxford Road (A4260), Banbury Road (A4260), Hempton Road (B4031), Hempton Road, High Street, Bloxham Road and vice versa.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Barford St Michael/St John,
Bloxham Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic,
3 Tonne Weight Limit and 2 Metre Width Limit) Order 2022 will
be revoked at the termination of the Works. (Ref: T13627/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Banbury, Various Footpath closures
Date of Order: 24/06/2024
Coming into force: 01/07/2024
This Order is being introduced because of excavations in the footpaths to install fibre optic cables as follows:
(1) Fuchsia Walk, and (2) Acacia Walk (Nos.1 to 5) which are anticipated to be undertaken 1 to 5 July.
(2) Footpath in front of Nos.47-51 The Camellias; and (4) the side of Nos.28-29 Lavender Close which are anticipated to be undertaken on 8 to 12 July.
The effect of the Order is to close temporarily parts of the 4 footpaths. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath. Diversions will be signed locally. (Ref: T13894, T13895, T13906/RMF)
