What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC138637349: The City of Manchester (Brown Street, Deansgate Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to restrict traffic on Brown Street from Booth Street to Marriots Court.

The alternative routes for traffic will be: Signed Locally when TM deployed. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway resurfacing.

It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 16th June 2024 only. The order shall come into operation on 16th June 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC000138629394: The City of Manchester (Deansgate, Deansgate Ward)(Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane & No Waiting, No Loading) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order is to suspend the operation of the cycle lane thereby prohibiting any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle lane: Deansgate, from King Street West to Bridge Street & to prohibit Waiting and Loading at the same location. The City Council is satisfied that thisis necessary in order to facilitate a crane.

It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 16th June 2024 only. The order shall come into operation on 16th June 2024and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If the restriction ends within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
