ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTIONS 14(1)(a) and (7)
THE M1 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 18, WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an Order on the M1 Motorway, in the County of West Northamptonshire, to enable waterproofing, bridge repairs, resurfacing and
lining works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close, at different times, -
(1) the northbound carriageway of the M1 from its junction with the exit slip road at Junction 18, to its junction with the entry slip road at
Junction 18; and
(2) the southbound carriageway of the M1 from its junction with the exit slip road at Junction 18, to its junction with the entry slip road at Junction 18.
The work will be carried out, in phases, at weekends only, between 20:00 hours on Friday and 06:00 hours on Monday and is expected to
start on Friday 21 June 2024 and continue for four weekends. The Order will come into force on 14 June 2024.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority, ambulance or traffic officer purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the
works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closures.
Diversion routes via the M1 Junction 18 slip roads will be signed.

THE A14 TRUNK ROAD (BETWEEN
CATTHORPE AND KELMARSH AND BETWEEN BARTON SEAGRAVE AND
CRANFORD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBYS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an Order on the A14 Trunk Road in the Counties of North
Northamptonshire and West Northamptonshire, to enable maintenance works to be completed.
The effect of the Order, will be to close any layby adjacent to –
(1) the eastbound carriageway of the A14 from its junction with the M6, at Catthorpe, to its junction with the link road leading from the
A508 at Kelmarsh;
(2) the westbound carriageway of the A14 from its junction with the link road leading to the A508 at Kelmarsh, to its junction with the M6
at Catthorpe; and (3) the westbound carriageway of the A14 from
its junction with the slip road leading from the roundabout junction with the A510 at Cranford, to its junction with the entry slip road leading from the roundabout junction with the A6 and Barton Road, at Barton Seagrave;
The layby closures will be in operation between 13:00 hours and 06.00 hours only. The work is expected to start on Monday 24 June 2024 and
continue for approximately three days/nights.
The Order will come into force on 17 June 2024.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be
exempt from the closures.
