THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
( EPPERSTONE FOOTPATH NO.1 ) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be: -No person shall: -
(a) proceed on foot, in the following length of Footpath at Epperstone in the District of Newark and Sherwood: - Epperstone Footpath No.1 between its junction with Chapel Lane (Bridleway No.2) and its junction with Church Lane.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will apply as follows:- From 17th June 2024 until 16th December 2024 inclusive. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there are several alternative routes available. The prohibition shall apply to enable works to be carried out and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath. It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended. The prohibition is required to enable approved development adjacent to the footpath and safe access to that development over the footpath, and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath. THIS CLOSURE WILL ONLY TAKE EFFECT WHEN SIGNS INDICATING CLOSURE ARE DISPLAYED
