What is happening?

BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER - SURFACE TREATMENT WORKS -

VARIOUS LOCATIONS, THROUGHOUT BRIGHTON AND HOVE II

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-

In phases, in force as an when signed Dates available on One.Network

(a) The temporary closure of Margaret Street, for its entire length, and to maintain access it will also be necessary to suspend the one-way order for the same extent, during this closure.

(b) The temporary closure of Camelford Street, for its entire length, and to maintain access it will also be necessary to suspend the one-way order for the same extent, during this closure.

(c) The temporary closure of Manchester Street, for its entire length, and to maintain access it will also be necessary to suspend the one-way order for the same extent, during this closure.

(d) The temporary closure of Cavendish Street, for its entire length.

(e) The temporary closure of Burlington Street, for its entire length.

(f) The temporary closure of Ardingly Street, for its entire length.

(g) The temporary closure of Graffham Close, for its entire length.

(h) The temporary closure of Downash Close, for its entire length.

(i) The temporary closure of Byworth Close, for its entire length.

(j) The temporary closure of Uckfield Close, for its entire length.

(k) The temporary closure of Ninfield Place, for its entire length.

2. The Order is necessary to allow Surface Treatment and associated works to take place.

3. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic when appropriate.

4. This Order comes into force on 19 June 2024 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 11 July 2024.
