CELEBRATION AVENUE AND LIBERTY BRIDGE ROAD

The Newham (East Village) (Parking Places) (No. 1, 2015) (Amendment No. 4) Order 2024

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham ('the Council') on 10 June 2024 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be to provide:-

(a) 'shared-use' parking places operating 8am - 9pm daily for East Village (EV) Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) permit holders (without time limit) or Pay by Phone parking with a maximum stay of 2 hours and no return within 1 hour, In:

(I) Celebration Avenue, the east side, from a point 28 metres north

of the northern kerb-line of Liberty Bridge Road northward for a

distance of 17 metres; (Ii) Celebration Avenue, the west side, from a point 28.5 metres

north of the northern kerb-line of Liberty Bridge Road (opposite)

northward for a distance of 15 metres; (IN) Cheering Lane, the south-east side, from a point 36.2 metres

north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Celebration Avenue

north-eastward for a distance of 17.5 metres; (Iv) Cheering Lane, the south-west side, from a point 53.8 metres

north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Liberty Bridge Road

north-westward for a distance of 16.9 metres; (v) Liberty Bridge Road, the north-west side, from a point

20.9 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of

Cheering Lane south-westward for a distance of 17 metres; (vl) Liberty Bridge Road, the north-west side, from a point

25.1 metres north-east of the eastern kerb-line of Celebration

Avenue north-eastward for a distance of 16 metres; (vli) Liberty Bridge Road, the south-east side, from a point

31.9 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Elis Way

north-eastward for a distance of 17 metres;

(b) free parking places (maximum stay 30 minutes with no return within 2 hours) in:

(I) Celebration Avenue, the west side, from a point 13.5 metres north of the northern kerb-line of Liberty Bridge Road (opposite) northward for a distance of 15 metres (operating from 11am to 9pm daily);

(ii) Liberty Bridge Road, the north-west side, from a point 24 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Cheering Lane north-eastward for a distance of 17 metres (operating from 8am to 9pm daily); and

(c) a loading bay, operating from 8am to 11am daily, for a maximum stay of 30 minutes with no return within 1 hour, in Celebration Avenue, the west side, from a point 13.5 metres north of the northern kerb-line of Liberty Bridge Road (opposite) northward for a distance of

15 metres.

4. For all locations described in the paragraphs to this Notice the parking places and loading bay will replace the existing restrictions at those locations.

5. Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 17 June 2024, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection by appointment during normal office hours at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, by telephoning

020 3373 6415 or by emailing traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk for a period of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made.

6. If any person wishes to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
