What is happening?

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order  made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (South East) (No.15) Order 2024 “ authorising the stopping up of an irregular shaped area of highway verge to the east  of Fort Road East at Littlehampton in the District of Arun. This is to enable development as permitted by Arun District Council, under reference LU/375/22/PL.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/SE/S247/5688). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Littlehampton Library, Maltravers Road, Littlehampton, BN17 5NA.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 13 June 2024.
