(A589 MARINE ROAD WEST, MORECAMBE, LANCASTER CITY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of A589 Marine Road from the roundabout adjoining A589 Marine Road West and B5321 Central Drive to outside Property no. 185 (Aldi).
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0200 hours until 1000 hours on Sunday 16th June 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
B5321 Central Drive – B5321 Queen Street – B521 Euston Road – B5274 Euston Grove – B5274 West End Road – Clarendon Road East – b5273 Regent Road – A589 Marine Road West.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow works to reset inspection chamber frame and cover be carried out.
