Whitehalgh Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?

(WHITEHALGH LANE, LANGHO, RIBBLE VALLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Whitehalgh Lane, Langho, from a point approximately 20 metres northwest from the bridge to a point approximately 20 metres southeast from the rail bridge.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 2200 hours on Saturday the 22nd of June 2024 until 0500 hours on Sunday the 23rd of June 2024 or until completion of the works within this period. This will be an overnight closure.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
Longsight Road – Whalley Bypass – Whalley Road
And vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow detailed bridge inspection works to be carried out.
