(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close, introduce a temporary prohibition of waiting at anytime on the following roads throughout their entire lengths unless otherwise stated. This Order will also introduce a temporary 30mph speed limit on major ‘A’ class roads and a temporary 20mph speed limit on minor and non-classified roads: A2004 College Road (northbound) from County Mall access northwards for 38m; A2004 College Road (southbound) from Haslett Avenue East southwards for 85m; A2004 College Road (turning lane) from traffic lights to Haslett Avenue East; A2004 Southgate Avenue (northbound) between Station Way and College Road; A2004 Southgate Avenue (southbound) between Haslett Avenue East and Southgate; A2200 Haslett Avenue East, between Three Bridges Road roundabout junction and the A2004; A2200 Station Way, from Southgate Avenue westwards for 60m; Brunel Place, at junction with Station Way; Gatwick Road, between Gatwick Road roundabout junction and Hazelwick Avenue; Gatwick Road (northbound) between A2011 roundabout junction and Napier Way; Gatwick Road northbound slip; Gatwick Road (southbound) between Maxwell Way and A2011 roundabout junction; Gatwick Road southbound slip; Gatwick Road roundabout junction; Hazelwick Avenue, from Maxwell Way southwards for 60m; Holbein Road; Manor Royal, at Gatwick Road roundabout junction; Maxwell Way, at junction with Gatwick Road southbound slip; Napier Way, from Gatwick Road northbound slip for a distance of 6m; Telford Place, at junction with Southgate Avenue.
These road closures are needed to protect public safety whilst the 2024 highway retexturing programme is carried out. It is expected that the affected roads will be closed for upto 3 days. 30mph speed limits may be required during the works and between phases of the works. The exact dates and duration of the works and the traffic management in each location will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time.
The Order will come into effect on 1 July 2024 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the works programme is completed, whichever is earlier.
During the works alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC propose to make a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a length of prohibition of waiting at all times (double yellow lines) on the north side of Haslett Avenue East at the signalised junction with Hawth Avenue. The consultation for this proposal will start on 12 June 2024 and, AT THAT TIME, full details of the proposals in this Notice can be viewed on our website www.westsussex.gov.uk/tro. The website includes a response form for comments or objections. Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.
