What is happening?

SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNCIL

(Lodge Road and Churchward Road, Yate) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) (Temporary Suspension of One Way Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has:- a) closed, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice; and b) suspended, temporarily, when the signs are covered, the one way traffic working, to any vehicle proceeding in the length of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with drainage installation works. The order became operative from 17 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The restrictions however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that the works relating to each location will be carried out on the dates specified in relation to each length of road in column 2 of Schedule 1 and Schedule 2. (B4055 Watson Way, Almondsbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of B4055 Watson Way which extends from Wyck Beck Road to Station Road. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with sewer connection works. The order became operative from 17 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 4 weeks duration. Alternative route: Station Road, A4018 and vice versa

(Horton Hill, Horton) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Horton Hill which extends from King Lane south eastwards for 350m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with flood alleviation works. The order became operative from 17 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration. Alternative route: Horton Road, Totteroak Lane, Little Sodbury End Lane, New Tyning Lane, Horton Hill and vice versa

(Park Lane, Frampton Cotterell) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Park Lane which extends from a point 80m north of Sunnyside northwards for 70m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon drainage works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 17 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration. Alternative route: Park Lane (parts unaffected), Clyde Road, Sunnyside and vice versa

(Public Footpath ORN/28/10 and ORN/15/10, Pilning) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to foot passengers the lengths of footpath specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon Network Rail maintenance works. The order will be operative from 8 July 2024 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration. Schedule: Public footpath ORN/28/10, Pilning – for its entire length; Public footpath ORN/15/10, Pilning – for its entire length Alternative route: Church Lane, A403 Severn Road, Whitehouse Lane, Redwick Road, Green Lane and vice versa

(Oldbury Lane and Barrow Hill, Wick) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon filming work on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 20 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration. Schedule: 1. Oldbury Lane – for its entire length; 2. Barrow Hill – that length which extends from Oldbury Lane to Manor Road Alternative routes: 1. Beach Lane, Marshfield Lane, Bath Road, A420 High Street and vice versa;

2. Barrow Hill, A420 High Street, Manor Road and vice versa (Coronation Road, Kingswood) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Coronation Road which extends from Orchard Vale south eastwards for 50m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new water connection works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 17 June 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 days duration. Alternative route: Grimsbury Road, Orchard Vale and vice versa

(Bonds Lane, High Street and West End, Marshfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon footway construction works. The order will be operative from 8 July 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 8 weeks duration. Schedule: Bonds Lane – that length which extends from A420 to High Street; High Street – from A420 to its Bonds Lane; West End – for its entire length. Alternative route: A420, Chippenham Road, Hay Street, Market Place, High Street (part unaffected) and vice versa

(Public Footpath LSG 18/10, Stoke Gifford) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to foot passengers that length of Public Footpath LSG 18/10 which extends from Public Footpath LSG/17/60 to Public Footpath LSG/31/10. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new housing development construction works. The order will be operative from 27 June 2024 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 6 months duration. Alternative route: Poppy Close, Oxleigh Way, Westfield Lane, Harry Stoke Road and vice versa
