Prittlewell Chase, Westcliff-On-Sea, Temporary Traffic Restrictions due to Water Works.
What is happening?
SOUTHEND-ON-SEA CITY COUNCIL
(PRITTLEWELL CHASE, WESTCLIFF-ON-SEA)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PARKING, STOPPING, WAITING, LOADING, UNLOADING,
THE USE OF THE CYCLE PATH AND 30-MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1)
Notice is hereby given that the Southend-on-Sea City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The Effect of the order will be to prohibit any vehicle from
1. Parking, stopping, waiting, loading & unloading on Prittlewell Chase from its junction with Cleveland Drive to its junction with Highfield Gardens
2. Use of the cycle path on Prittlewell Chase from its junction with Cleveland Drive to its junction with Highfield Gardens
3. Speed reduction from 30MPH to 20MPH on Prittlewell Chase from its junction with Cleveland Drive to its junction with Highfield Gardens
The suspension is scheduled to commence from 09:30 on the 17th of June 2024 till 15:00 on the 24th of June 2024 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The Order will come into effect on 17th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
The suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce for Essex & Suffolk water works takes place.
The prohibitions or restrictions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the TRAFFIC SIGNS REGULATIONS AND GENERAL DIRECTIONS 2016
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction/prohibition imposed by this Notice may be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice and removed under the provisions of the Traffic Management Act 2004
