What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and

(On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.40) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given Colchester City Council acting on behalf of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an Agreement dated 1st July 2022 proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4 (1), 4(2), 32, 35,45,46,49 and 53 and Parts III and IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the Order:

1. To introduce No Waiting 7am to 6pm restrictions on the South of Trinity Street Halstead (A131) adjacent to the public gardens.

This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by replacing tile numbers TL810 305 revision 1 replaced by TL810 305 revision 2, TL810 302 revision 1 replaced by TL810 302 revision 2, TL805 302 revision 2 replaced by TL805 302 revision 3.

(Deanery Hill), Braintree (30mph and 40mph Speed Limit) Order 202*

Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 84(1) (a) and (2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

SCHEDULE 1:

1. To Implement: a '30mph speed limit'

Road: Panfield Lane Braintree and Bocking

(Currently a 60mph Speed Limit)

Description: From its junction with Deanery Hill and B1053 Panfield Road, southwards for approximately 447 metres.

SCHEDULE 2:

2. To Implement: a '40mph speed limit' (Currently a 60mph Speed Limit)

Road: Deanery Hill, Bocking

Description: From a point approximately 47 metres west of its junction with Church Lane, south westwards for approximately 471 metres to its junction with Panfield Lane and B1053 Panfield Road.

Road: B1053 Panfield Road, Braintree and Bocking

Description: From its junction with Deanery Hill and Panfield Lane, north westwards for approximately 742 metres to a point approximately 95 metres west of its junction with The Gallops.

(Bamboo Crescent, Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bamboo Crescent, Braintree in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Mill Park Drive for a distance of approximately 20m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th June 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03163179319/4 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while valve replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Mill Park Drive and vice versa (with access only into Bamboo Crescent).

The Order will come into effect on 13th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Hyde Lane, The Salings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hyde Lane, The Salings in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Bradfield Road for a distance of approximately 105m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd July 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WFKFR05H - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Hyde Lane, Victoria Hill, Shalford Green, Church End, Braintree Road, The Street, Wethersfield Road, Braintree Road, Silver Street, Meadside, Finchingfield Road, Wethersfield Road, Church Hill, The Green, Bardfield Road, Finchingfield Road, Bridge End, Bridge Street, Crown Street, Brook Street, Braintree Road, Bardfield Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 13th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Inworth Road, Feering/Kelvedon Road, Inworth)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Inworth Road, Feering/Kelvedon Road, Inworth in the District of Braintree/City of Colchester from the junction with Feering Hill to the junction with Wind Mill Hill a distance of approximately 2130m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2359513 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gully and frame replacement works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Kelvedon Road, Maldon Road, Colchester Road, Maldon Road, Broad Street Green Road, Colchester Road, The Street, The Square, Holloway Road, Langford Road, Maldon Road, Hatfield Road, Maldon Road, The Street, A12, Hatfield Road, Bridge Street, Newland Street, Colchester Road, A12, London Road, High Street, Feering Hill and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 13th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mill Lane, Witham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill Lane, Witham in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 95m north west of the junction with Newland Street for a distance of approximately 55m in a north westerly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th July 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC00813APRTGC937 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Mill Lane, Guithavon Valley, Collingwood Road, Newland Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 13th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(North-east Slip From Hatfield Peverel To A12, Hatfield Peverel)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of North-east Slip From Hatfield Peverel To A12, Hatfield Peverel, in the District of Braintree under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, from its junction with The Street to its junction with A12 a distance of approximately 350m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st July 2024 for 6 nights (21:00-06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2351858 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway repairs works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via The Street, London Road, A12, Boreham Interchange, A12 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 13th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order (No.8) 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To introduce a temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction on both sides of the carriageway on that length of road in the schedule to facilitate works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restrictions will be in force.

"The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 13th June 2024, exact dates will be specified on One.network.

Road: Skitts Hill, Braintree

Description: From its junction with Rose Hill/Mill Road to its junction with Challis Lane a distance of approximately 685m.

(Cressing Road, Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cressing Road, Braintree in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Chapel Hill for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th June 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03164018302 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sluice valve replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Lakes Road, Manor Street, Trinovantian Way, Railway Street, Coggeshall Road - Railway Street Junction, Coggeshall Road, Cressing Road and vice versa (with access only into Chapel Hill).

The Order came into effect on 30th May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Hatfield Road, Northbound Slip From A12, Hatfield Peverel)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hatfield Road, Northbound Slip From A12, Hatfield Peverel in the District of Braintree, from the junction with A12 for a distance of approximately 400m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th June 2024 for 1 night (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2365790 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Hatfield Road, Bridge Street, Newland Street, Colchester Road, A12, Hatfield Road or Hatfield Road, Hatfield Road, Southbound Slip road, A12, Northeast Slip Road A12.

The Order came into effect on 30th May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Silver Street, Silver End) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Silver Street, Silver End in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Broadway to its junction with Boars Tye Road a distance of approximately 335m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th June 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2362554 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Boars Tye Road, Temple Lane, Broadway and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 30th May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
