What is happening?
THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (WATLINGTON, U23285 JOHN DAVIS WAY, U23284 PAIGE CLOSE, U23283 STONE CLOSE) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) AMENDMENT ORDER 2024
The Norfolk County Council has made the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on 4th June 2024, which comes into operation on 13th June 2024, the effect of which is to amend The Norfolk County Council (Watlington, Various Roads) (Prohibition of Waiting) Consolidation and Variation Order 2011.
The amendment adds references for John Davis Way, Paige Close and Stone Close to introduce waiting restrictions operating at any time for the lengths of roads as set out in the Schedule below:
SCHEDULE
Prohibition of Waiting - At Any Time Insert the following references into the Schedule of the 2011 Order:
U23285 John Davis Way East Side - From the centre line of its junction with J23283/20 Stone Close to a point 14 metres north and 14 metres south.
U23285 John Davis Way West Side - From the centre line of its junction with J23284/20 Paige Close to a point 16 metres north and 13 metres south.
J23284/20 Paige Close Both Sides - From the centreline of its junction with J23285 John Davis Way westwards for a distance of 10 metres.
J23283/20 Stone Close Both Sides - From the centreline of its junction with J23285 John Davis Way eastwards for a distance of 8 metres.
A copy of the Order and plan and a copy of the 2011 Order may be viewed online at https://norfolk.citizenspace.com/. Copies may also be available for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich and at the offices of Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk, Kings Court, Chapel Street, King's Lynn, during normal office hours. However, in-house staffing levels have been reduced and viewing online would be recommended. Any person who desires to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 4th June 2024 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
