Essex, Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works.

What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Church Road, Hockley)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Hockley in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Murrels Lane to its junction with Folly Lane for a distance of approximately 485m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2361870 -Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Church Road, Lower Road, Hullbridge Road, Down Hall Road, London Road, Station Road, Crown Hill, High Street, Eastwood Road, Websters Way, Hockley Road, High Road, Aldermans Hill, Folly Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 13th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Daws Heath Road, Rayleigh)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Daws Heath Road, Rayleigh in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Winbrook Road to its junction with White House Chase a distance of approximately 225m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th June 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30021228437 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

Alternative routes are available via: Arterial Road, Progress Road, Rayleigh Road and Eastwood Road or Eastwood Road, High Street, High Road, Rayleigh Weir Slip Road From A129 To A127 Eastbound and Arterial Road (with access only into Daws Heath Road).

The Order came into effect on 30th May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
